Service Description
Join talented tutor Karina Wiles to learn the heritage craft of rag rug techniques to make your own festive fabric wreath or table decoration without using a frame or ring. During the workshop participants will be guided in a small group through this sustainable wreath making process. They will be able to choose fabrics from traditional greens or more specific colours of choice. Each wreath can be embellished with berries, beads or baubles as participants wish. All will leave with a beautiful wreath with hanging attachment ready for adorning your home either on the door or table this Christmas! Price includes all fabric, hessian backing and ribbons and use of equipment and tools. All levels of experience welcome. The workshop will include festive refreshments and a break for lunch. Please bring a packed lunch with you or alternatively you will be able to nip out to find lunch on the nearby high street. About Karina: Karina is a textile and mixed media artist based in Yorkshire. Her tactile art works are both inspired by and reflective of nature’s textures, shapes and colours. Although a multi-disciplined artist, her love of textures led her to the heritage craft of rag rug making.
